Panel Discussion
The panel will provide practical, legally sound, and experience-based insights into the duties of a provisional liquidator in a provisional liquidation where trading in liquidation is required. The focus will be on how a provisional liquidator can lawfully and ethically trade in liquidation in order to:
- Preserve and enhance the value of the estate’s assets;
- Act in the best interests of creditors;
- Comply with statutory duties and fiduciary obligations; and
- Manage the practical and legal risks associated with trading during provisional liquidation.

Mr Economides will address the practical and operational aspects of trading in liquidation, including asset preservation, cash flow management, and operational decision-making. - Liquidator: Mr Richard Pollock – Harvard Corporate Rescue Services
Mr Pollock will provide the perspective of the appointed provisional liquidator, focusing on statutory duties, fiduciary responsibilities, and practical challenges faced when trading in provisional liquidation. - Advocate: Advocate Stanley Davis
Advocate Davis will address the legal framework governing trading in liquidation, including relevant legislation, case law, and the potential personal and professional risks for liquidators.
