SARIPA Project 2021
February 2020
As we stand on the verge of the next decade, it is important for all of us to take a step back and take an introspective look as to where we are in our respective practices, firms and businesses and what the future holds for us.
South Africa in 2020, is not without its challenges!
With distress, corruption, insolvency and financial implosion part and parcel of our everyday news reports, never have the members of SARIPA had a more important role to play in our economy and in what we can do to assist financially distressed individuals and corporates, achieve restructuring and workouts, maximising recoveries for creditors and guiding directors of distressed companies on a road to a managed outcome.
Our challenge as members of SARIPA is to ensure that we all remain relevant in what we do and ensure that we deliver value to all stakeholders in a professional and service-focused manner.
Project 2021 (see attached) - will hopefully deliver on this objective in the next 24 months and where all members will continue to see tangible and meaningful growth of the organisation in the ensuing period. It is an ongoing project and one which will be worked on by the board in the months ahead. We aim to keep all of our members informed of developments and enhancements to the organisation as and when each milestone is achieved.
The board has worked hard to strategically focus on "matters that matter" and believe our action plan, once implemented, can place SARIPA on the South African map of excellence in the restructuring and insolvency profession. The board is committed to ensuring that we can look back in December 2021 on objectives reached and success attained!
We would appreciate any feedback from members on our project 2021, so please let René Bekker have your input as soon as possible.
Wishing you all a fruitful and good year ahead!
Dr Eric Levenstein
