This panel of distinguished speakers, who include the counsel and US attorney who were involved in the first foreign recognition application of a South African business rescue proceeding and a pre-eminent business rescue practitioner, discuss various issues relating to claims in a business rescue proceeding. They will discuss who qualifies as a creditor, the proof and admission of claims, and the treatment of disputed and contingent claims and the voting interest attached to such claims.

The panel will also look at the provisions of sections 152(4) and 154(2) of the Companies Act 2008 in relation to claims.
