The Northern Region Young Bloods welcome their new Committee Members...
Chairperson: Blaise Koetsie

Blaise Koetsie is an admitted Attorney, Liquidator, Business Rescue Practitioner and Mediator. She obtained both her LLB and BA (Law) from the University of the Witwatersrand and holds a certificate in advanced Insolvency Law from the University of Pretoria.
Before joining Absa Bank Limited, Blaise worked for Indalo Business Restructuring under Senior Practitioner, Lebogang Mpakati, where she took appointments as a Liquidator and worked on an array of Business Rescue matters.
In 2020 and 2021, Blaise was one of the youngest candidates to be shortlisted for the MDDA Parliamentary Board and is currently part of the 2024 INSOL Future Leaders of South Africa Program.
Outside of law, Blaise partakes in various CSI projects and enjoys outdoor activities.
Kgolagano Maekane

Kgolagano Maekane is a manager of the Business Rescue and Legal Recoveries division at CGIC, a trade credit insurer. She is responsible for the efficient collection and management of the domestic and export book. She has extensive experience in collecting in a distressed environment, particularly in BR and liquidation proceedings. She has also sat on various credit committees representing an array of clients. Kgolagano currently sits on various committees at CGIC including the credit committee, reserving committee and special care. She has also been a speaker at the SARIPA Young Bloods events.
She holds a BCom in Accounting from UJ, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business administration from MANCOSA and is currently pursuing her MBA.
Shikar Maharaj

Shikar Maharaj is an Admitted Attorney and Director at DMA Incorporated. He is a Liquidator, Mediator, Business Rescue Practitioner, Executive Producer and Deputy Chairman of his Municipal Ward.
Shikar was selected as part of the 2023 INSOL Future Leaders of South Africa.
