The attached judgment was handed down on 18 March 2025 in the Johannesburg High Court.

The Court addressed abusive business rescue applications used to obstruct liquidation proceedings and clarified the interpretation of "liquidation proceedings" as set out in Section 131 (6) of the Companies Act.
